The
Judith Jones Band: lead singer Judith studies with Dane Chalfin, one of the
North of England's leading voice coaches. Dane says of Judith - " Judith Jones
is one of the most versatile blues vocalists I know, whether she is singing a
siren silky smooth soprano standard, or belting it out with a brassy finish,
she is always in control of that slightly rough voice. I have her on my Ipod,
so should you". Judith has also considerable strengths as a
songwriter, and has had her recordings played on BBC radio. Main influences are
Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, Paul Rodgers and Lucinda Williams. The Judith Jones
Band also features Rod Godwin, Howie and Roy. |

We are a female led
blues/rock band that is passionate about music and includes some of the best
talent in Cumbria. Rod Godwin's awesome guitar was formerly in the line up of
Badfinger (chart successes included "Come and Get It" and the classic "Without
You"), The Five Dimensions
and in 70's band Jigsaw who had a chart topping hit with "You've blown it
all Sky high". Rod also previously formed the West Midlands band
Cathedral. Howie is JJB's
talented and versatile drummer with Roy on bass. The line up for the CD
launch also included drummer, pianist and composer
John Marcangelo who
recently launched the world premier of his musical "Clog Dance!" at the
Whitehaven Maritime Festival. We were also privileged to include John's
beautiful and talented wife Cath on vocals. |
