Judith is a member of the British Voice Association, and has studied with the top professional voice coaches in the industry. She keeps her teaching relevant by regularly attending teacher training courses run by the BVA.
She has been singing since the age of 7. Classically trained, she won many trophies at Music Festivals across the UK for singing, speech and drama. She was also a regular lead in the local theatre group productions.
More recently, Judith has performed extensively with her band, (The Judith Jones Band) and was warmly received at a series of concerts in the USA, where she has a strong fanbase.
She has had regular radio airplay for her compositions, recorded with her band, and is a regular guest on Radio Cumbria. She also organises shows and functions for charity, recently raising £5,000 for Breast Cancer and £3,000 for victims of the Cumbrian floods. Her next project includes some of her students performing, together with a line up of local professional bands. This show will raise money for the Whitehaven Rotary Club.
Judith teaches and arranges choral works (4 part harmony) as well as providing bespoke coaching for more aspirational singers at her home studio. Her specialist areas are contemporary styles - pop, musical theatre and rock.
Judith is passionate about good technique and vocal health, so posture, support and good breathing are integral to her pedagogy.
